  @mloxton there's definitely a deeper problem with societies being geared towards the loud, selfish, and obnoxious. But appearances can be deceptive too, I've stood in front of men like this before, nodding and smiling, thinking about how awful they are the entire time and how they are wasting my evening.   Disappointing to still hear people make the "Russians are scared" argument about why Russians don't protest. I'm sure they are. So were Ukrainians when they camped out on Maidan 2013-2014, being shot, kidnapped and tortured, until their corrupt president fled the country.
