I discovered that The Very Good Biscuit Shop we go to has chocolate coated freeze dried raspberries and holy shit they're good! Imagine Malteasers except the crunchy part on the inside is a raspberry

Every time I see someone wearing Harry Potter merch these days I cringe for them. Yer one is the absolute fuckin’ devil and you still feel you need to rep her shite, WTF

I'm making fried chicken and cauliflower (my partner bought a cauliflower so I got the hint) and I have the stuff left to make fried things. As always there's extra liquid and powder so I'm gonna see if hallumi works

Here's another fucking great one from @shinmera@mastodon.tymoon.eu that she made in her own Lisp based game engine, Trial. It's a cool open world 2D platformer and is currently 70% off! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1261430/Kandria/

  Stop using Chrome!!

• View post

If you think about it, search is such a hugely important part of using the web that it really should be a public service. Fuck Google, there should be publicly funded search engines, ad free and available to all.

• View post

I reckon it’s a duty of front end devs now to purposely stop supporting Chrome. We need to make sure that the best experience for people using the web is elsewhere and make sure every time a Chrome user has a problem that they’re told to use a different browser. A sort’ve web civil disobedience to try to swing people out of Google’s ecosystem

@zx@chaos.social @kelpana@mastodon.ie my place will be hiring ML people this year, but I’m not sure when. It’d be worth keeping an eye on the jobs page https://wikimedia-deutschland.career.softgarden.de/en/

• View post

So for front end devs who think they need Chrome to do the job. I haven't had Chrome installed on any of my machines for around the last 4 years. I can do 99% of my work in Firefox and use Chromium on my Linux laptop for the other 1% of testing. Fuck Google and uninstall Chrome.

It took me 2 years but I finally finished building my arcade cabinet. I bought pre-cut MDF and painted it and put it together, stuck a 27 inch monitor in there, with an RPi and Mame, then 3D printed plates for the bezel and top attract thingy and yellow screw covers. It’s running really well and the 5 year old is in love with it.
