  @nnirror I didn't even think about the mixing aspect of it, that does sound really helpful. I was thinking of it as a way to programmatically chop/garble/recombine different samples like drum breaks

  Has anyone tried to make music in R? I found some audio manipulation packages like tuneR but haven't found a convenient OSC or midi package like Python-osc or a performance-focused supercollider + midi + osc interface like Sardine.

  @yaxu I've been liking Quarto for the fact I can "write once render every format" and because I can run R & Python code alongside Markdown & html. Not sure how useful the latter is in situations not involving data and statistics though. What would be nice is if I could send the html version but in a format that isn't a zip folder requiring the receiver to unzip and click the correct file.
