    Ctrl-F is the universal shortcut for search on all GUI systems I&amp;#39;ve used since the 1980s. Even IBM had it in their CUA standard. Except for New Outlook where it becomes &amp;quot;forward&amp;quot; the current email. What on earth was the Microsoft team thinking when they mapped that function to Ctrl-F?     I had a someone come into the office from one of our suppliers this morning. Whilst she was there she saw a printing calculator in a display cabinet and really couldn&amp;#39;t understand what it was. I remember seeing and using them back in the 1980s.
