At work, there's someone who prides themselves on their "cheeky chappy" persona. They have zero self-awareness and they deliver lame joke after lame joke, without realising nobody finds it funny. What would it take for that person to wake up and stop that behaviour? If anything, all they're achieving is annoying everyone around them.

Democracy in the UK is not fully functional (to put it mildly). However, to anyone who wants to grab their pitchfork and torch, if YOU choose violence to achieve political aims, you and I won't be friends. We effect change via the ballot box!

The WillCycle app has undergone some enormous changes: It started using BRouter for routing, then I switched to GraphHopper, the to Valhalla (from Stadia Maps) and currently switching to FerroStar. This should be the very last such change. The reason ls behind the changes vary - from having offline routing, to having better recovery when going off-route, plus more. Critically, I need the spoken navigation cues to be spot-on and reliable, so people can almost entirely opt to just use spoken (1/3)

I was toying with the idea of converting my bicycle trailer into a camping trailer, but on today's ride I had a FAR better idea: I'm going to convert it into a fairy-princess carriage, for my granddaughter! I'll have to start planning and will probably build a cardboard model 1st. I'll also fit a kiddie car-seat, but if course it will have to get a make-over as a throne. Quite excited by the idea!

How annoying: just got to Tavistock, then my phone rebooted by itself. It's not hot, or anything, either. No idea why it did that.

My son wants to switch to clipless pedals, so today after work, we'll go look at getting him some shoes and probably SPD pedals. I favour Time ATAC pedals, but they have a 90kg weight limit, and he's built like the proverbial brick sh*those, and weighs a lot more than that. I'm curious about whether or not he'll fall over, due to not having unclipped. I know people say it's inevitable, except it's not. I've never fallen over because of not unclipping. When I 1st switc...
