  Starcraft 2. Even given its age it's very old fashioned isn't it? Limited build queues on production buildings, individual units rather than squads, low unit cap, no territory control type stuff, and a non-stream economy. Maybe I've been spoiled by Dawn of War, Homeworld, and the god hammer that is Forged Alliance Forever but.... this is really like playing a slightly upgraded version of Dune 2. Or am I doing it wrong going marine, marauder, medic?

  @nini i just find it absolutely hilarious that this was going to be their crypto/AI playground and they've never forgiven us for getting their first and setting up camp.   The real annoyance is that the Photon's software won't fire up in Wine (or Proton) for some ungodly reason, so I'm bashing away at it over RDP. Weird thing is I'm pretty sure I saw it install a bunch of QT libraries so it'd be easy enough to do a *nix version, maybe? *shrug* Keep chugging little i3, I'll decom you eventually.

  Kind of funny that I'm arguing on the most pointless of platforms (YouTube) that a character in a show (Jax, Amazin Digital Circus) which goes out of its way to hammer that this character is trans with a bunch of cis guys who are adamant she isn't. I'm sorry but that show was as subtle as a sledgehammer about it, someone would have to be deliberately missing it to be arguing Jax is a guy.

  Right, looks like all the mesh stuff is in python which is a bit of a pain. OTOH if I'm brushing up on my C... maybe I should give python a whirl as well? I'm thinking various shims to make a mesh "BBS" pull from ProBoard's usual files... pretty sure the file formats are all documented so shouldn't be THAT hard... right? How it'd go about doing filereq stuff remains a mystery.

  One thing that pissed me off, when I'm surfing the news on the pocket sized internet, is websites saying "Apples 3 part series" or "Amazons 8 part series". They aren't "parts" a "part" is an individual episode not a complete season.

  Set an upper file size limit (for sanity), zip the absolute tits out of the file, uuencode it, chunk the output in to 200b chunks, fire chunks at node. Node deals with getting the text to a file, decoding, etc. A "not my problem" solution. Set an upper file limit at 1.44MB give or take, that'd be about 4min at 38k4 although about 8 hours at 300baud which is a potential worst case. And the files will be substantially smaller than that

  The room I'm in is a heat trap, which is why despite it being 16c elsewhere it's 28c in here. I'm wondering if an inline extractor fan would help... I just need to dump the hot air outside... so bolt it to the failed portable aircon's existing pipe and let it run? Might be worth a punt on a £30 device before spanking £500+ on a split A/C unit and installation.

  Keeping this separate in case someone wants to retoot my shit without my castles in the sky floating past...
