I think my problem is that I see a society as an organism. Criticizing one person or class feels as pointless criticizing a cell or tissue. They exist as part of that larger structure so if the cell or tissue changes it just increases dysfunction. The organism itself resists change, in fact, like all organisms, it spends most of it&#39;s resources on maintenance and homeostasis.
