    Sightseeing in my own city again. After taking a couple of pictures behind the railing, I said, I should lean over, closer to the surf, for a better picture.     A neighbor called in the middle of the night and let us know that someone going through our garbage set a smoldering fire in our black landfill container. (Probably not intentionally, but using an open flame for light or holding something that&#39;s burning while digging through mixed trash is still pretty reckless.) By the time we got dressed and outside, the police were already there, and the fire department showed up shortly afterwards to put out the embers and help to shovel the soppy mess b...

    We saw the &amp;quot;Monet and Venice&amp;quot; exhibit this morning at the DeYoung museum, which naturally ended with some of Monet&amp;#39;s Water Lilies paintings. We left for tea at the Japanese Tea Garden and realized there was a bit of a theme of birds and lilies. Not pictured were the ducks sleeping near the lily pond at the Tea Garden. I didn&amp;#39;t want to disturb them. &amp;quot;Let Sleeping Ducks Lie,&amp;quot; as they say. #Goldengatepark #sfba #SanFrancisco
