  @sothawo I understand you perfectly. I have to see this one! Next year, I also hope to revisit the Rhône glacier, which, from what I have read, is deteriorating much quicker. Climate change is accelerating so quickly now that we will soon be left with nothing but photographs and memories of places like these.

  I was at Mont Fort today, this time taking the cable car, but I still remember the climb up there in winter 2006 as if it were yesterday. What I saw today was terrifying. The Tortin Glacier is almost gone. The photos aren’t great, but that’s not the point.
