This frog bacterium wiped out cancer tumors in mice with a single dose Scientists at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) have identified a naturally occurring bacterium from the intestines of Japanese tree frogs (Dryophytes japonicus) that demonstrated remarkable anticancer activity in mice. The findings, published in Gut Microbes, introduce a new approach to cancer treatment that uses living bacteria to directly target tumors rather than simply altering the gut micro...

Where are you getting this from?? These are huge claims and I’m not sure if there is any evidence for either of them. qBittorrent is a highly trusted torrent client used by thousands maybe millions of people and you are the first person I have ever seen make these claims. This is one of the many articles you can find about it. It seems like you don’t know much about how torrenting actually works so please stop making these claims that aren’t actually backed up by sources/evidence. Right...

This is easily avoided by using a popular open source BitTorrent client, the most popular one being qBittorrent. Lol yeah qbittorrent is known to exploit your device for crypto mining. They also bought utorrent, which is also used for that. A safe download client is Deluge. I had believed torrents are quite secure since the connection is encrypted and it uses hashing to verify what you downloaded matches the .torrent file. The encryption is very poor. As soon as you download a movie wit...

Whether you pay 7,50 on usenet or a VPN. I mean, you could do without a VPN, but in Germany you get hefty fines for downloading with torrents and when you’re a decent uploader any government can use you as an example or you get fines from companies like Disney, Paramount or a copyright violation hunter company like the Dutch Brein. One movie in Germany can set you back 1200 euros. In the US there are kids who were taken by SWAT, fined thousands of dollars and got banned from using electronics fo...

Yeah it’s all on servers. It’s a different layer of the internet. You can share by uploading to usenet servers. To get large retention you should pay for a decent server, but with that you also pay for privacy. I pay €7,50 per month. But there are also free servers. Stuff gets uploaded, also many usenet original posts, and indexers can find it so you can download it. The downside is that you need to pay to be able to download old stuff, the upside is that you’re not dependant on seeders like wit...

Same here. Also having a catheter for 4 weeks after surgery on my urethra so also can't get out of the house and can't have sex or jerk off. The longer I have this situation, the more woodies I get at night, which hurt and wake me up. I'm 2 weeks in, 2 more weeks to go. I'm boooooored!

To a Pastafari this is a religious act. Our heaven is filled with beer and pastatutes. Our hell too, but the beer is past it's expiration date and the pastatutes have STD's.

My first thought that came into my mind was "I want this", but then I thought I don't even have sprinklers in my tiny garden, and I wouldn't want to see his face every morning when I look out the window.

Looking at the picture, the terrain is flat. If it were to make the corners after the rail switch without derailing due to speed it wouldn't go faster than roughly 15km/h, so derailing would kill no one inside, nor anyone at the switch, or standing close, as de derailment would mean a near immediate stop due to the weight. The G forces with this stop are minimal and people might bump their hear or something, likely not enough for a concussion. Even if it were to go 20 or 30 the chance of let...

I did a study, and my findings are stunning. People with arachnophobia react with fear when confronted with spiders. And I never even went to university. I posted my findings on Facebook and now I'm officially a scientist. Sometimes I feel like this is how people are doing "studies". I'm pretty sure this article is from the Onion, but the "research" I've read about lately isn't far from this satirical one. Many are on the 'no shit Sherlock' level. Th...
