#PhantastikPrompts 15. September Wie blickt Deine Hauptfigur 10 Jahre später auf die Geschichte zurück? Schwer zu sagen, aber wahrscheinlich mit einer Mischung aus Wehmut, Trauer, Wut, und Freude zugleich.

#PennedPossibilities 1125 SC POV: Give your city (or town or region) a new name that reflects what type of place it is and explain why you chose that name. Boredom Pop. 85 Elev. 3201 "In the middle of the desert, five streets, a general store, a small diner, a scrapyard, a regional school, nothing else. Perfectly suited for a covert Army operation." EDIT (Had read the question as "MC" first. MY BAD!🤗)

#WordWeavers September 11th What does your MC believe about themselves at the beginning of the story that turns out to be completely wrong? It's not really about herself, but Kessy thinks that the town they've moved into at the beginning of the story is finally the place to settle down. Boy, is she wrong…

#PennedPossibilities 1121 What would your MC say their personal strengths are? Would other characters agree? Kessy wouldn't brag in any way, she tries to be as mousey as possible so others leave her alone for the better.

#WordWeavers August 31st What's one thing you hope readers remember long after they finish your story? That life is always worth living. Our "first world problems" aren't that hard so someone has to set an end to themselves. Talk to someone. Anyone. Bus driver, milkman, me, a cop, call a hotline if you can or go to your nearest fire station, it doesn't matter. Every life is precious, even when one sometimes can't see why.

#WordWeavers August 28th Ketchup What's one question you're still trying to answer about your story? How do I implement things out of a story from another author without making it look obviously stolen? I won't allow myself to plagiarize, so… 😬 (Don't judge me, we all do it some way…)

#ScribesAndMakers August 24th Salient? Pardon? Outstanding is everything from me, also me myself. Partially, that is… So, it's hard to give a consequential answer.

#PhantastikPrompts 23.

#ScribesAndMakers August 21st Ketchup So, half of you got it right since there's no Peter Stanton who's a fire chief. There's a Pete in "Sam" but no Peter, sorry. Barbara "Barbie" Johnson is mentioned in two subsequently stories, "Romea" and "AlexA" as is Dr. Robert Green. Hope you enjoyed! https://mastodon.world/@TheAuthorVivian/117132356394294245

#Writer #Novel #Writing #Story Excerpt from "Frozen Moon", a lesbian romance novella by Vivian Schey (me…), ©2018 V-Ltier Verlag It’s Christmas Day. The sun is about to shine in my room. Which means it’s nearly noon, yet I have no desire to get up. I don’t want to open my eyes; this moment is too good. That warm, soft feeling at my back. Hair tickling my nose, stirred by gentle breaths. The steady pulse in the hand embracing my stomach—waking up could hardly be lovelier. …👇

#WordWeavers August 10th Does your writing playlist change depending on the scene you're writing? No, since there's no playlist at all. Certainly there's a soundtrack, but…

#ScribesAndMakers August 10th How willing are you to take risks with your creative work? My works are in general intended for an audience still considered teenagers but without their parents knowing. So, I think "Risky" should be my middle name instead of…whatever, doesn't matter. 😁

#ScribesAndMakers August 9th Have you ever switched perspective (1st, 2nd, 3rd person, 3rd close, cinematic, etc) mid-chapter/story? Was it successful in your opinion? I think I did that only once with "Romea" as it from the perspective of the MC to the narrator for the SC, chapter wise until they met. Was it successful? I don't know…

#WordWeavers August 9th What's the smallest detail you've researched for a story? One of the smallest details I've done research over must be the different protein's roles in the formation of a human genome during fertilization. It's a literally small detail, not only a figurative one.

#ScribesAndMakers July 27th Do you feel your creative work leans more towards reflecting life as it is or as you would like it to be? Oh, definitely as it should be! Because…well, life isn't as we want it to be, ain't it? So, let's dream a little…

Danke. Sodann… 👇

#PennedPossibilities 993 As we are approaching Prompt 1000… What a journey. I met so many different people with so many different skills and opinions—it has become mind-blowing. Writing prompts are a part of it, but what I like the most is the little chatter I sometimes have with you. Yes, you! Silly, honest, outrageous, hilarious, sad — so much. I would miss it if I'd be forced to leave. Deeply. On the other hand, I don't regret anything. Thank you. Just for being there. Thank...

#WordWeavers April 17th How far beyond the local home of your MC does your story extend? Three or four miles at most, that's how far "the cursed well" is away. I'm so #Bored right now… At #Work, the main conveyor chain which runs the whole production line broke in two spaces, the then loose parts slipped through a few sensors, and thus the accompanying computer doesn't know anymore where which part is. The whole company is at a halt while the mechanics try their best to fix the almost forty years old things. I have only an hour of work left, and then I'll join the others having their spines massively shortened by standing around...

#WordWeavers April 18th If your antagonist had to learn a musical instrument, what would they pick and why? Oh he doesn't have to learn to play an instrument (sort of) because the Colonel already can, the bugle. It was a voluntary part of his West Point "education", and he enjoyed it very much. Indeed, he was using his "skills" during his deployment in WWII. That wasn't very appreciated BTW…

#PennedPossibilities 989 Is your MC an immigrant or newcomer in the place where they live? If so, where did they emigrate from and where do they currently live? Yes, Kessy is a newcomer in Arizona. #WritersCoffeeClub April 20th What have you tried to immortalise in your writing? Try searching for solutions instead of only pointing out problems. See, everybody can tell you what's wrong with the world they live in. But do they provide a way out of that alleged misery? Seldom, don't they? That's what I try to convey, you can change things that are wrong as long as your head isn't only good for wearing a hat.
