The Gilded age wasn't stopped only for Larry Ellison to own TikTok, CBS, CNN, Warner and Paramount.

Some lens allows you to see distant objects, while some allows the viewer to see things invisible under the naked eye and right underneath their noses. Different jobs require different optics.

Nobody is denying American imperialism. The question is, do you acknowledge Russian and Chinese imperialism?

Sure, the other two non-democracies you simp on is so much better and not engaging their own imperialist agenda and antithesis to your purported beliefs.

Donald: Why are GenZ's having time off and can do what they want for their mental health? Why can't I take care of my mental health by taking Greenland?

I think some of these commenters who want to stop media being political are bots. The elites want to suppress free thinking and freedom of expression.

We poked fun at this meme, but it goes to show that the LLM is still like a child that needs to be taught to make implicit assumptions and posses contextual knowledge. The current model of LLM needs a lot more input and instructions to do what you want it to do specifically, like a child. Edit: I know Lemmy scoff at LLM, but people probably also used to scoff at Veirbest's [steam machine](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File%3ASteamMachineOfVerbiestIn1678.jpg) that it will never amount to any...

You're invincible from teens to early twenty's. Around 25 is when you become officially old by most accounts (and even mentally I felt it), and your body slowly deteriorates and finding yourself increasingly more tired. The metabolism changes and can't handle alcohol and can't drink alcoholic drinks anymore because the liver can't handle it. Thankfully, there are nonalcoholic versions of my favourite drink but it's not the same as getting the buzz 🤣

Maybe the accent gave it away even if the French is perfect. I'm not a fluent French speaker but I learned it in school. And even among various French speakers I hear, I can tell the difference in accent.

Wait until Le Pen or Bardella comes into power and remake the deal with American tech oligarchs, undoing Macron's push for strategic autonomy. As long as the right in France isn't killed, any attempt of decoupling will only be coupled back to US, because fascists have internationalise their ideas and coordination.

Funny enough, despite the ugly aesthetics, there is a great sense of community in social housing.

Putin wasn't the only KGB colonel before he became the president of Russia. He had peers and were given equal footing as him. But he had proven to be more cunning and ruthless than them so he gained power. Those low level conning salesmen you mentioned, they probably weren't savvy enough. However, if they had been as savvy as the most successful con salesman, Elon Musk, then their fates would have been different otherwise. There are those who started from the bottom, quite literally. St...

I've been thinking of creating a new account through Tor, so that I could reconnect with my former communities who are still active there since, unfortunately, Reddit is still bigger than Lemmy. But with this new stupid identity verification rule from Reddit, I don't think I will come back to the site. I guess I will recreate the communities I've been missing here in Lemmy instead, which I have been thinking of doing for a long while now.
