I&#39;ve thrown away nine entire expired tins on this year&#39;s clear-out, which, as food wastage for an entire year, doesn&#39;t seem too bad. Yes, perhaps they&#39;re fine but it saves decision fatigue. And if I haven&#39;t eaten them in this long, probably I won&#39;t.

Have I sown many carrots? Yes! Do I expect even a single carrot? No! The only full-sized carrot I ever grew came out of a layer of &#39;decorative&#39; concrete chippings underneath our bird table and was just somehow one day magically there. But the sloped bed now has a definite edge of retaining repurposed slabettes, and I had all this newly turned dark brown sandy soil, so...
