    No one is saying that individuals of any ethnicity can&#39;t be bigoted. The point being made is that, in our current society, the societal structure that we call &quot;racism&quot; - the social machinery that empowers white bigots to enact violence against people of color and get away with it, and disadvantages non-white people in all sorts of other ways - lends a certain *weight* to the prejudices of white folks that just isn&#39;t true for the prejudices of other people.     I suppose that depends on how resource intensive it is and how long it takes. If you have to go to the teleporter building and wait in a long line, it&#39;ll be more like &quot;oops I left at home.&quot; If teleportation is basically free and you carry the device on you, it&#39;ll be only slightly worse than walking. The real bad time is if teleporting is portable and easy to do, but expensive. Then we&#39;ll really get ourselves in trouble.
