  @asymco@mastodon.social it’s traffic management. iPhone Pro is a known product that people buy on regular cycles. Those buyers have five weeks to pack the stores before the completely new Duo packs the stores with even more people who will be a higher mix of non-buyers than usual.

  While others rail against gen AI taking their job, I’ve spent the better part of two days and counting unslopping PowerPoint slides. A boss, one of many, has been running slides, mostly taken from presentations we made, through a chatbot to get them “just right”for this weekend’s big meeting, and they are so wrong. It’s barfing out slide sized images, not editing the slides, so I’ve been matching the arrangements and swapping in real images for slop like this melted mofo. 🤮 #AI #GenAI

  Throwing back to a cuddlier time with our OG trio of Spooky (R), Patty (T), and Homer (B). Spooky was adopted first, joined quickly by Pat, the oldest. They were with us through every apartment before our current home where Homer joined us.   Enjoyed a “fight fire with fire” moment today when I ran a blatantly AI generated paper through AI detection service, Pangram. I’d already determined the paper was AGI three different ways, but I’d been interested in testing Pangram for a bit when this naturally occurring opportunity knocked. Tested fully AI vs. two controls testing fully human. Still wouldn’t trust it alone, but I’ll keep it bookmarked as a confirmation tool. #Pangram #AI #GenAI #AGI
