Well, the #debian vote was very disappointing. Will someone fork an AI-free version, or is everyone scattering to the four winds?

Hey, everyone, as I've mentioned a time or two, I'm in geo.coop. My big project is running our paper journal. The second edition will be coming out in the very near future. This time around, the topic is union worker co-ops. If you're interested in either unions or co-ops, and especially if you're interested in both, then I invite you to become a supporter: https://geo.coop/geo-journal #geo #unions #cooperative #workercoop @Matt_Noyes@social.coop @GuerillaOntologist@social....

Hey, #AskFedi... I'm trying to covert PDFs to ODTs (on Debian) with some semblance of formatting retained. So far, I've tried LibreOffice Draw, pdf2odt, pdftotext, and Calibre. All of them either give me images or garbled text. Has anyone got this working? Edit: the PDFs in question are scans.

Hey, everyone, #GEO is running a #poetry slam as a fundraiser on May the fourth. It's really about the #solidarityeconomy, but if you just can't resist making a Star Wars (or Dave Brubeck) reference, we'll let it slide. Tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/grassroots-poetry-slam-tickets-1984979006643 More about GEO: geo.coop

We get to witness both the space race and the Cuban Missile Crisis. So this is what life in the '60s was like.
