Hmmm. That scheme of dots doesn't really work intuitively so I rearranged things to make the rolled number upright relative to the table and offset towards the uppermost surface. Distance to COG is still within a micron for centre of each face and all faces have equal area. I would like to be able to simulate physical throws of this model but my lack of phys-sim chops means I may just need to go old-school with stuff IRL when time allows (i.e. probably never). #Simulation #Probability #Dic...

I'm smiling like a simpleton from thinking how much joy our proto ancestors might have experienced from relaxing in a bed with a tog-10 duvet, memory foam mattress and pillow, all with clean dry sheets. I'm grinning like a loon imagining such a thing. I'm feeling so lucky. Thank you. #gratitude #joy #wellbeing

@VintageProject@oldbytes.space I believe that the content of the response, beyond respectfully highlighting the issue, is of secondary importance to the list of people copied on it. I wish you all the best with this.

In a fit of dissociated verbage yesterday I conjectured that the reason we cannot find paleontological evidence of astronomical telescopes is because they were all taken away by those fortunate creatures who foresaw and escaped the asteroidal apocalypse. #Dinosaurs #Astronomy #Heresy #RussellsTeapot #Dissociation

Since cats are suspended in a state of quantum uncertainty, if you make an additional observation of a cat, i.e. a completely different set of reflected photons, is it a different cat? #Cats #UncertaintyPrinciple #Schroedinger #Quantum

@ferret_stack@mastodon.social I am admiring your handwriting. Even the most mundane wording would look like poetry to me when scribed with this hand.

@asta@sunny.garden Lately I have been having conversations with some of my adverse memories as part of re-scripting and desensitisation. Beyond the additional cognitive load this presents, I was concerned that I'll end up stuck there whilst the "real" me continues through life on autopilot. Then I realised that very thing already happened a long time ago. Important parts of me are held, tortured in these temporal traps as less and less of me managed to move through time to experie...

I don't think I'm likely to be shamed into good mental health. All that has achieved so far was to force nascent problems into the darkness where they blossommed and fruited into something far more insidious, dangerous and long-lasting. #MentalHealth #Wellbeing #Honesty

@ChrisJagged@mastodon.social I guess this poll implies that I can engage in only one artistic endeavour for all time. Is it not possible though, to do what's necessary to pay the bills whilst also using some energy to support your personal vision? Y'know, like most people have to do. Or, indeed shill your tat for some coin and position then, once established, pivot to stuff which matters personaly.

@argv_minus_one@mastodon.sdf.org My guess (probably wrong) is that DRAM needs regular refresh cycles. With CPU In a halted condition, DRAM contents would discharge and corrupt quite soon e.g. five or so missed cycles.

@patrickhadfield@mastodon.scot " Under this, by far the best, administration, we will be repealing all of the sad, sad laws which have been holding back regular Americans for far, far too long. * The Law of Universal Gravitation GONE! * The Law of Diminishing Returns GONE! * The Law of Thermodynamics GONE! * Newton's Laws of Motion (that guy was such a loser, well his law is GONE!) * The Law of Supply and Demand GONE! * Kepler's Laws of Planetary Motion GONE! and, of course, m...

Something I found recently relating to wellbeing and establishing some sense of purpose in life. I have a feeling that regular engagement with simple, little positive things gradually steers my perception in a more helpful direction. Experimenting with sphere retention structures which can be more reliably manufactured using FDM processes. It's "The Octagons" this time! Oakee doakee... Got the prints back. Sphere retention is a bit too tight with these dimensions. It takes significant force to engage sphere. Will adjust octagon dimensions for greater accommodation.
