Trump said the Supreme Court justices who voted to block his vote by mail fuckery would send the country back at least 100 years. That would be the Progressive Era. BRING IT ON.

Air quality is just a tick above "Good" this morning. Celebrating but opening up the windows to air the place out.

Model rocket outreach launch tomorrow. Fixing up donation rockets for sale, and preparing my own to actually fly if I have time.

The (current) heat wave put on end to Peak Blackberry. I picked enough for a week of cereal and yogurt topping, but it took a while. I might try to hit a few spots and get enough for another pie, or a gallette.

I busted open a Flock camera and found a Black Lotus card.

Old clothes dropped off. They might end up as rags, or insulation, or shipped to Africa in huge bales, were industrious people repair and modify them for reuse. The latter is a fascinating process.

This morning's wildlife spotting: Three good-sized, lanky coyotes, crossing the road from one office park to another as Daphne barked lustily at them. The last in line stopped to look at us. Curiosity? Defiance? It didn't move on until a landscaping truck approached it.

Scored a "2 Good 2 Go" package from Whole Foods. They usually get snagged within minutes of being posted. $7 for queso, guac, salsa, tortillas, ramen, and a package of beyond beef. Taco night, I guess!

Most of the time local 2Good2Go is donuts, coffee shop pastries, and pizza slices. Sometimes Indian buffet leftovers.

It is really disconcerting seeing Paul Hollywood doing chipper and informative "here's how you cook stuff" videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zoc188qQpvY

Celebrating nine years since retiring on Friday. Kind of disappointed in myself for thinking of going to the new In-and-Out down the road to mark the occasion.

Watched the episode of "Malcolm in the Middle" in which Francis spends Christmas with his awful, awful grandmother (Cloris Leachman). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVMuy6a46I4

Starting to get impatient with myself with lack of writing. I really hate the idea of self-publishing. Finding artists and doing layout and such.

Starting celebration of my 9th Retirement-a-Versary at the dentist, getting three replacement crowns cemented in. I'd do a road trip with the dog after that, but it is going to be hot today. Sometimes I resent having taken on care of a creature that can't travel for a good chunk of the year.

I started watching a Korean drama about a compassionate dad and his teenage son with autism. They have a business cleaning out apartments where a resident was found dead. By the end of the episode OH MAN WHAT THE FLAMING HELL? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11052470/?ref_=fn_t_1

From Liberal Currents: "It did not end in 1865. It did not end in 1877. It did not end in 1964. And it will not end in 2025. Our fight continues. We continue. Our nation shall have a new birth of freedom. Government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth." https://www.liberalcurrents.com/an-american-reconstruction/

A page from an old "What If?" issue of Captain America, in which "Cap" confronts an imposter who preaches intolerance and hate. So relevant today. So powerful.

Vern Estes, founder of the model rocket company that still bares his name, talks about writing and finally finishing a book about the company's early history. Still lucid at age 98! (Start at 18:00 or so) https://www.youtube.com/live/U75_HtC82d0

1/ One of the most frustrating, useless reactions to Trump misadministration / GOP lackey fuckery: "It is going to take DECADES to fix this!" Well, YEAH.

RIP Lou Zocchi, game designer, distributor, and industry advocate. He designed the SECOND grown-up game I ever purchased, "Alien Space." I still have my copy from 1974, and a later edition. I'll take photos when I am back from vacation.
