It used to be that once in a very great while there would be a whisper of a family that had "problems" and the father had to leave. Nowadays? A constant barrage of sexual assault stories... Now, open a gate with insufficient restricted access to food to prompt the black market to grow, creating more criminals.

TFG is losing us Nobel Prize winners... "Last year, before flying to Stockholm to receive his Nobel Prize, Dr. Yaghi in an interview with The New York Times voiced concern about Mr. Trump’s immigration policies, saying that they endanger the nation’s system of universities, companies and governments that promote scientific excellence." https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/09/science/nobel-winning-us-chemist-will-move-to-china-to-lead-ai-institute.html?unlocked_article_code=1.wVA.ROtK.ZQE...

Trump Warns Americans They’ll Have a ‘Problem’ If They Don’t Respect the President "The dbl-standard criticism that followed TFG'S “respect the pres.” remarks draws from a documented record. Spending yrs questioning a predecessor’s citizenshp, posting AI-generated dehumanizing content targeting a former pres. and his wife, and publicly mocking a predecessor at the time of a cancer dx all sit squarely in the public record." https://theheartysoul.com/trump-respect-president/?utm_so...

Marc Elias of Democracy Docket is one of the most effective lawyers and explainers of law, who has been holding TFG to account in the courts. He nearly single handedly proved that the 2020 election was NOT STOLEN and is currently defending voting rights. He recently interviewed Hillary Clinton about TFG's and R's politics, voting and civil rights, and the midterms. Excellent (long) read. https://newsletters.democracydocket.com/my-conversation-with-secretary-hillary-clinton [Premium...

Wow. I started therapy (seriously) in my mid-30's to recover from my childhood. There was all kinds of abuse my father inflicted on us 7 kids and Mama, and for 30 years summing it up has been difficult. Then today I read this from Sarah Kellen, an Epstein victim: “He groomed me, sexually and psychologically abused me, controlled me, manipulated me, dominated me, and gaslit me until I could no longer tell which thoughts were mine and which were his.” Wow. Spot on.

With his Bible readings, Trump is doubling down on his God complex. Somehow, evangelical Christians are buying it "Ten days after sharing an AI-generated image in which Trump appeared as a Jesus-like figure healing the sick, here he is delivering a Bible passage that involves taking on a first-person delivery of God’s word. (By contrast, other participants, for example the actor Candace Cameron Bure, read “then the Lord says”-type passages from Genesis.)" https://www.theguar...

RE: https://mastodon.world/@ginaintheburg/116432293652600396 HIGHLY RECOMMEND ARTICLE (And I might get the book) "The big thing was when it comes to Christianity... Christians aren’t supposed to follow the Bible... Christians are supposed to follow Christ. And when it comes to following Christ, you got two schools, the ones who say it’s all for personal salvation, I’ll believe all this, so I’ll go to heaven. Well, that’s the opposite of everything Jesus says, but good for you, it’s a...

@mariyadelano Thank you for pointing this out. "Sure, going to any one protest, or calling your representative, or boycotting a brand, or changing one person’s mind, or donating to one fundraiser won’t fix the entire broken political regime. But it will help A LITTLE. " And if a lot of us continue to find ways to do things that help a little, it will end up doing a lot more." I also have PTSD, and this reminder has helped.

People who wanna be right all the time rarely learn anything at all. Being wrong and looking foolish are two key ingredients in the recipe for growth.
