I'm a fairly well balanced person, for the circumstances, but every now and again I read something on my phone about the state of trans rights or healthcare in the UK and go a little bit insane https://www.wearequeeraf.com/nhs-wales-apologises-for-withdrawal-of-trans-healthcare-admits-urgent-review-still-hasnt-begun/

I have actually read a yudwhatsit book - though I never properly went down that hole, thanks in no small part to early 2010s @davidgerard@circumstances.run - and now I'm scared to learn how it fits into the present nonsense

Phone apps with swipe gestures make me feel a million years old. I can handle bringing up a side menu or whatever, because that makes some level of spatial sense, but on a list of episodes I'm never going to remember what favourites and what downloads and what deletes - especially since it's mostly on accident while trying to do something else

INZ vote done. Wasn't entirely sure how best to rank the non-terrible candidates, kind of fell back on my 'give them a little walking-around vote' strat where I rank people I suspect might not get as many votes higher than the obvious candidates. Honestly they mostly seem good people? Certainly, nobody sends me the good goss

Not clear what the composition of this fabric I bought from Pete's Emporium on a whim - I'm assuming it's 100% polyester until proven otherwise - but I'm back on my bullshit #petrasews #wheresmyemporium

"every ticket we sell, we have to give a percentage to distribute it. It used to be about 30 percent, but now for a film like The Odyssey, about 60 percent [goes] to Universal.” "Then you have to add in other costs, such as the digital delivery of films (about $300 for a major film), weekly fees for encryption keys to unlock the films, music licensing fees, and keeping expensive technology and equipment maintained and up to date" hmmmmm https://www.rnz.co.nz/life/screens/movies...

Can never remember which is a bear market and which is a bull market. Which makes sense, because I'm not looking to buy either and I wouldn't want to be chased by them too
