The difference between MicroSlop and Micro$haft or Crapple is that Microsoft is actively slopifying their product. And this isn't just some PC vs Mac slapfight where people are coming up with insulting names, Microsoft actively bragged about pooping out 30% of code with AI and we have MONTHS of news articles about them fucking up their updates even more than usual (and I've been supporting MS products for close to 2 decades). There's a reason MicroSlop responded to that and not Mic...

"low of 37%" What's that, like 1-2% lower than before? He's basically on the floor of his approval rating, not sure his brainless followers will ever actually abandon president WarPedo

But that’s not the job, and those arguments [betray a lack of expertise](https://bas.westerbaan.name/notes/2026/04/02/factoring.html). As Scott Aaronson [said](https://scottaaronson.blog/?p=9665#comment-2029013): >> Once you understand quantum fault-tolerance, asking “so when are you going to factor 35 with Shor’s algorithm?” becomes sort of like asking the Manhattan Project physicis...

Relevant paragraph: > PQC readiness “is mostly actuarial/risk management—even if the chance of building a CRQC by, say, 2030 is very low (say 5 percent), the downside risk is huge,” he explained. “Combine that with very long transition engineering times, and you should have started already.” Also, relevant paragraph from the wiki page for [integer factorization records](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integer_factorization_records): > The largest number reliably factored by Shor's alg...
