  Corporate malpractice doesn't seem to register with a certain percentage of the population. Not unless they experience direct harm from it. Perhaps because those people would do the same if they were in Zucks position. It reminds me of a study I read a long time ago where students from certain fields had different interpretations of what's construed as lying or cheating. I remember they found that business students have a much lower bar for what's considered right and wrong....

  Non-IT people don't find much use in these things either. There's a brief futurism novelty that wears off. The devices sit unused until they inevitably break or go obsolete. Or they give up using out of frustration. Not because they're tech illiterate. Because they realize the thing didn't need to be IOT.

  Watching For All Mankind makes me sad. It’s an alternate timeline where humanity focused on space exploration instead of ad tech. They have the internet but it’s a pure utility for communication. There’s no surveillance capitalism, no social media, none of this junk. We’ve wasted the past 3 decades using science and technology to enrich the American capital class.

  Anyone remember Dr. John Campbell on Youtube. He got popular by posting videos during COVID. Then veered off into full blown anti-vax conspiracies. He's a "doctor" because he has a PhD in making Youtube videos. No, seriously. His doctorate thesis is based on using Youtube as a teaching method. He's not a real medical doctor. His bullshit antics prompted actual doctors and scientistics to regularly post their own videos response.

  You’ve demonstrated exactly how the system works. Statistically a few players will be lucky and become very rich. They’ll be looked at as “built different”. All the other poor players will try to emulate them as if they can beat the system by achieving some virtue like working hard enough or having innate skill rather than realize the system is mathematically impossible to beat.
