@marxmedia I hope that more legal academics, practitioners, journalists and commentators from other countries will also maintain a presence here at Mastadon. We can all learn from each others’ experiences.

@rozenberg it’s very gratifying to hear Ms Rose will be taking action. Criticisms of her professional conduct were very unfair

@davidallengreen I wonder if it would make organising the points easier if they were thematically linked, instead of doing dedicated commentaries or sections on individual Bills. Just a thought, many ways to write such a piece, of course. Looking forward to reading it!

@mmasnick Yes, I don’t think “fighting fire with fire” is a reasonable excuse for contravening the platform’s policy. But I guess this is a new era at Twitter where policies don’t matter.

Though I’m not American, I can’t help but feel this statement rings especially through generally, regardless of which country, society, community, etc. one comes from and/or now lives in: “A just nation does not thrive on violence that teaches us to hate.” Read here: https://www.bostonglobe.com/2023/01/29/metro/black-cops-killed-tyre-nichols-systemic-racism-is-death-us-all/
