  One of the reasons I stopped developing for FreeCAD was that I noticed the issue with AI and devs. And expected it to get way worse as AI tools were getting better. Most OSS banning AI including FreeCAD, sounds fun on paper but it's like banning auto-complete, it's ineffective and contra-productive. It's more a decision that is made to look like you're on some moral high ground, it's purely a political statement as it's impossible to reinforce.

  How big of a chance is that AI is going to cause issues that can only be solved by AI? Then we might ban AI, but you'll get (illegal) AI farms just like we had bot farms for ages.

  I had a Tuya smart watering valve laying around for like 3 years, now I finally needed it hard. It burned out on the first test-run.....FFS. On the positive side I ordered a ZigBee Sonnoff as a replacement and now I don't have to deal with tuya bs.
