    This makes me happy. My mother-in-law has very advanced Alzheimer’s but until recently could still knit several baby hats a day. My wife entered one in the local fair and it won 4th place! Once we get the actual ribbon and the $1 in winnings we will take it to her. #photography #knitting

    About 25 years ago while on vacation, my father-in-law invited me to join a weekly morning bike ride on a local rail trail. A group of about 30 retirees would ride 10 miles to a small town for breakfast and then ride back. I was impressed by how fit all these “old people”were, especially a fast 84-year-old guy who had heart surgery a few decades before. Today I rode that trail for the first time since my own surgery and was inspired to follow the example of the 84-year for the next few decades.
