You could just have regular stuff on your walls, or you could be ready for the world that's hidden from normal eyes. Prepare for unreality. http://www.lewis-workshop.com #SCP #scpfoundation #liminalspaces #zombies #cordyceps #backrooms #gaming #games #survival #monster #scifi #weird

Did you know that adding a single layer of old books to your walls can insulate an average home from the terrible reality of the world outside.

2 year old just climbed into my chest and grabbed my face with both hands, looked earnestly at me and said "Eye, eye, chin... 'nother chin, snack hole, facehonk." Then she jumped down, farted, said "that's just my bum fizzzing out", and wandered off into the kitchen. How's your day going?

    It's past 7.00pm. Do you know where your chickens are? https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1878253596/beware-of-chickens-metal-sign-funny #chicken #chickens #birds #bird #smallholding #farm #farming #pet #pets

Bounty from the chickens, bounty from the garden... Time for quiche.

Did you know that a weed whacker can launch a decent sized brick well over 10 meters through the air and right through the roof of your allotment neighbour's greenhouse? Well now you do, and so do I. Unfortunately. 😬

Today's gardening job is to make a plant spray out of the leaves I've taken off my tomato plants. I mixed the leaves with water and will let them soak for a day or so. The tea will be full of a-tomatine, which is the alkaloid tomato plants use to keep pests (like caterpillars) at bay. I'll spray it on the brassicas later in the week to stop the dreaded munching beasts. Tip: If you want to make the tea stick to the leaves a bit better, add a bit of soap. #gardening #growyourown #t...

Gave the delivery guy a dozen eggs just to get rid of some. Checked again for eggs and collected another 21. Er.... Quiche, madeira cake, Yorkshire pudding, pancakes, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, anyone? Tornado omlette?

And so, this year as every year, the carnival of instagram and facebook posts with "I can't believe I planted all of these things out too early and a frost has killed them" begins.

I'm very tired, but still have work to do. I'm at the point where I might make a mistake if I'm not careful, so I'm going to stop soon. This sort of thing was much easier when I was 20.

I'm at the internal screaming stage of the process.

I'm not sure if it's an age thing or a planet being fucked thing, but all I really want to do is plant vegetables and fruit trees, and feed the chickens.

Great news! My parcel from somewhere Chinese sounding has cleared customs and will be delivered this week! I wonder what it is and what company it's from? It's either going to be a small envelope or a box the size of a 3D printer. What will it be? Will it actually arrive at all? Will I finally be able to have a hot shower this week? Who knows. 🤷

Cheers, chickens. Maybe it's quiche time tonight.

I have fixed the shower. Hail me, conquer of pipes.

A friend of mine went to a music festival many years ago. I sent her a message to see how she was getting on. She sent one back three days later that said "oh god mushrooooom soooooup", and then I didn't hear from her for another 3 days. Good times. Good 'shrooms, apparently. She's an art teacher now. Anyway.... The idle reminiscence will continue until morale improves. Morning everyone.

In case you hadn't figured it out, I intend to be the Albert Finney "Big Fish" type of old person who has endless ridiculous stories to dispense at irregular and probably inappropriate times. Like the time I ended up snowed in to a nightclub with Phil Tippet and Nancy Cartwright.

I'm always fascinated by people's acceptance of coffee - specifically when I see people who say "I can't do X until I've had my coffee" and they genuinely mean that they can't function properly without it. I always think that if caffeine was in a pill and someone claimed they needed it to function, lots of alarm bells would be ringing. I'm not saying people shouldn't drink coffee, I'm just saying it's *wei...

Not a proper focaccia, but deliciously rich, warm, springy, and chewy. Seasoned with rosemary and sun dried tomato. Served with a mixture of olive oil, aged balsamic, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper. #bread #baking #homemade #freshfood

Our shower is broken. The replacement part will take a week to get here. I have just had shower so cold that my testicles climbed up inside by body and tried to strangle me from the inside and you could shape a flint arrowhead on my tits.

I went to a club once in London, and there was a huge vaulted ceiling that graduated from concrete near the dance floor to an almost organic flesh texture at the apex with a giant, super realistic beating heart suspended from the top. There were even arcs of electricity shooting into it from some weird tesla coil contraptions on the wall around it. I was super impressed by the whole effect, but then I realised someone had spiked my drink and I was hallucinating the whole thing. Well... &#3...

One thing I didn't realise about CPAP is all of the "extra" stuff I have to do. In addition to the expected wash the mask daily and wash the straps weekly, I need to spend extra time cleaning teeth and using mouthwash because the drying effect of the machine can damage enamel. Also, I need a constant supply of distilled water to humidify the incoming air, more regular shaves to maintain a good mask seal, chap stick and moisturiser because the mask dries the skin. I am...
