I never get tired of seeing this at our neighborhood park every autumn. Especially on a beautiful day like today.

"Five cheetah cubs born at Prague Zoo are thriving after surviving severe storms and their mother’s illness, the zoo said Friday. The four males and one female, born on June 18, faced a difficult start to life after their mother, Daenerys, gave birth in an outdoor enclosure shortly before powerful storms swept through Prague." https://apnews.com/video/five-cheetah-cubs-at-prague-zoo-thrive-after-weather-scare-and-mothers-illness-f90a26643d6547a68d2ccdae781fffbb

I think I liked this leaf enough to take a photo because you can see the remaining chlorophyll in its cells. Something I would've brought into the classroom science table back in the day.

Just back from a visit to my fav local piercer, to have my hoops put back in. Her building used to have a drive-up coffee shop, ran by a friend. It was my favorite place to go until it closed. She told me today that a Vietnamese Coffee place might be coming to to that location soon. 🀞

Time to walk the neighborhood trail. Good to trip over tree roots rather than sidewalk cracks for a change. 😎

N and I made a discovery today, as he was going through his photos. We both have taken photos of a Hummingbird Hawkmoth in our front yard, but eight years apart. Wondering if they're wintering somewhere in the yard.

We originally planted our milkweed in hopes of attracting Monarchs, even though we're not on their route. What we ended up with are endless pollinator visits. I still call it a win. And the flowers are nice, too. 😎

It's time again for my favorite kindergarten teacher's carrot art project where she demonstrates cutting different types of eyebrows, the angles etc for showing emotions, and then she does the same with the eyes, teeth and mouths. So thrilled when a teacher provides just enough support when creating art, without taking control away from the students.
