🤦 Vänster (Left Party) is going to fuck Sverige over again. I genuinely do not understand how shortsighted and absolutist that party behaves often. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/swedish-opposition-leader-andersson-says-she-cannot-form-goverment-current-2026-09-28/?ref=activitypub #SvPol

It’s 18:46 and 23℃ in Seattle. My husband and I are am enjoying a Manhattan cocktail in the outdoor lounge of the Marriott Waterfront in Seattle. We just watched the cutest bunny happily hop down the sidewalk and into dense tree lawn hedges. A jam band near the US Cincinnati combat ship celebrating something about ’merica echos down the street. Seagulls caw in the distance. #Seattle

RE: https://techhub.social/@Techmeme/116968810163275019 Most people do not want more Meta or more AI in their lives. This isn’t a brand positioning problem. It’s decades of Meta’s consistent behavior making the world a worse place with every product it introduced.

🙄 @lobsters removed my submission of Killed by Apple as being off-topic even though I checked beforehand and it permitted Killed by Google 6 years ago. Both are interesting computer history. https://killedbyapple.theden.sh/?ref=activitypub https://lobste.rs/s/8yumgi/killed_by_google #computerHistory

I ordered food after tonight’s concert. I went to meet the delivery guy outside the hotel lobby. As I stepped onto the sidewalk, a bicyclist slammed into me. We both went flying. I got the wind knocked out of me and several bruises. The cyclist helped me up and then rode off. I was dazed, took the food from the driver who seemed just as shocked as a witness, and limped back to my room. Took me several minutes to realize what had happened. The meter in front of the hotel isn’t a bike lane. WTF

`mise` is a dev environment management tool that Just Works™ when switching between projects and programming languages. I appreciate not needing to remember JavaScript/Python/Ruby-specific dev environment manager commands. Its creator and lead developer announced he’s going full-time on open source, so I am supporting his work with an annual donation. https://jdx.dev/posts/2026-04-17-going-full-time-on-open-source/?ref=activitypub #FOSSFunding
