    My doc prescribed me a course of Prednisone for this pinched nerve. Let&#39;s see if this helps more than last time. Orthopedic doctor visit tomorrow. Maybe he&#39;ll get me set up with an epidural injection directly since we&#39;ve gone down this long road before. Either way, operating on a cumulative 6 hours of sleep over three nights and being in constant pain does not have me feeling great. 🙃

    I just set up Calibre Web Automated on my home lab and configured it to work directly with my kobo e-reader. Now I can just curate my library of ebooks in a web interface (that looks an awful lot like Plex) and directly sync with my e-reader over wifi! This is fantastic! #selfhosting

    I&amp;#39;m heading to a gay men&amp;#39;s retreat in a couple of weeks. 4 days of (spiritual?) reflection at a retreat center in the Poconos. I knew I&amp;#39;d be nervous to attend when I first signed up, and as expected, I&amp;#39;m getting really antsy about it. The origin of this retreat was for HIV+ men and dealing with the shift that comes with that.     Sometimes I need something fast that I can&amp;#39;t reasonably get at a local store, so I order it from Amazon with overnight shipping. But at least the last 3 orders I&amp;#39;ve made this way have been delayed -- often by several days, and two of which triggered an automatic refund. 😒

    Last night I started to smell the wildfire smoke that&#39;s been all over the northeast. In my bedroom. I installed an air quality monitor earlier in the week by chance and you can see exactly when the smoke reached us. (I&#39;m in a 100-year old leaky house)
