It seems like twice a summer I have to deal with fruit flies trying to colonize the green bin/garbage bin. They are persistent little buggers. #ontario

The condo board is replacing our windows today so I had to get up super early. I'm running on 5 hours of sleep and trying to work while keeping Walter (cat) from escaping my office. 😮‍💨 #ottawa

Doug Ford announced today that accountability is only for the poor. Or at least that's what I gathered today when he passed a bill to hide everything he does from the public. #ontario #ottawa #toronto

A grounded narrative cares about comparisons. In a low-magic world, the fantasy elements you add seem fantastical by comparison. When you spend time in the Shire at the start of LOTR, it makes Frodo's break from his ordinary life have impact. In dark fantasy, acts of genuine kindness are more heroic and courageous. In my worldbuilding, when I take a fantasy element to its logical conclusion, I learn the truths of the people living there that are worth telling. #ttrpg #fantasy #writi...

Never require people to be logged into your app to perform sign in verification. You'd think this would be obvious, but if they are logging in, they are not signed in, and therefore cannot verify their own login. Blizzard, LinkedIn, Steam, every app that does this is a nightmare to login to on a new phone. Please just connect with a 3rd party authenticator token generator app like everyone else. #software #app
