  Post-storm clouds are made of queer joy. 🌈🏳️‍🌈 #clouds #nature #photography #lgbtq #lgbtqia

Random bit of quirky cloud romance: We were on opposite sides of the city, looked up, spotted the same cloud, and took a nearly identical photo to show each other when we got home. 💜☁️ #clouds #photography

@alexadeswift@lgbtqia.space I try to avoid going to chain stores, or shopping in the city here at all, but the smaller shops are vanishing fast. Perhaps I'll try a shopping trip to Germany. Any city you would particularly recommend in this regard?

Lost an argument with a sweet potato. Me: You’re food now. Potato: No, I am plant. Me: Well you were a pretty plant, but you’re food now. Potato: No, I am plant. Me: Okay, now you’re compost. Potato: No, I am plant! Fine! #plants #gardening

While I find the story of The Craft more entertaining, the way the magic is portrayed in Practical Magic is so much more charming and recognizable. For example, they actually call to Hekate for aid in one of the spells. In a weird way, it's basically a rather blunt request for something, which, in my experience, isn't the way she rolls. While The Craft invented a sort of meta god 2.0 in a fictional deity called Manon. I know, I know, it's comparing fictional apples... but it's a...

Fennel flower buds have such nice, complex structures. It shows that one must invest in being snug before flowering. 💚😛 #Bloomscrolling #naturephotography #gardening

Look at this gorgeous thing! I think it’s something like a shark vertebrae? Found on the Dutch coast (near Katwijk). Can anyone help identify this? Boosts very much appreciated, I’m so in love with this pretty little thing. #marinebiology #naturalis #nature #macrophotography #fish

The world is… well… yeah… so, please delight at the sight of my little ladybug friend. We had a bit of an aphid problem some years ago, so I planted some fennel to attract these buddies. Now they’re all over the place. #bugs #nature

@Emmacox that’s so sweet! I like to think of them as my little cherry tree protection army. You can apparently also buy them for that purpose, but I didn’t like the idea of little ladybugs trapped in a box for days to get here. So, I’m glad the fennel worked out. Though, I must admit I liked the idea of opening the box in the garden, laughing maniacally, proclaiming “Fly! My pretties!”

#PennedPossibilities 984, Where does your MC feel the safest? Is there a particular person or object that helps them feel safe? Freya's deepest fear is detachment to such a degree that her consciousness floats off. Which is why she feels safest and is at her most powerful, surrounded by loving people who keep her grounded. This is how her two lunatic husbands make her feel safe. Not by providing protection, but by ensuring she feels empowered and supported. #writing

#WordWeavers 13, Does your MC have a particular scent they love or hate due to their past? There are some scents that hint back to elusive, missing memories of previous lives. Oneiroi smells like burned cinnamon, so even before she meets him, Freya chucks cinnamon stick into fires. Scio smells like fresh cut grass, so she often plucks a blade of grass and rips it to pieces to smell that. And Freya's StarFlower perfume is like aphrodisiac catnip for Oneiroi and Scio. #writing

#PennedPossibilities 985 — How long have you been writing or when did you start? About five years ago. Growing up severely dyslexic left me convinced writing was something I shouldn't have the audacity to attempt. For many in this #writingcommunity writing is a life-long passion but, I want to note that this is not a requirement. It can create a sense of never being able to "catch up" as you're starting, when the main thing you need is tenacity. So go for it!...

#ScribesAndMakers 14, What's something that's going well with your creativity this month? Well, I'm less frantic about it? Usually, I crush my own spirit with excessive self-discipline, but I'm learning to pace myself. Which leaves space for health and gardening, which in turn combats my chronic depression, and makes my creativity much more energetic. Not more cheerful, since I am a rather dark romantic at heart, but more confident, assertive, bolder, and, well,...

Haven't done a #portfolioday thing in a while, so hi! I'm Lydia, I make traditional digital drawings and illustrations, primarily focussed on the surreal, philosophically inclined fantasy series I write. Though, I also post the occasional adorable doodle, sketch, or photograph and answer prompts about my writing. So, yeah... I'm an eclectic bit of creative chaos looking for other spirits hurling rainbow paint into the universe. :rainbow_heart: #art #mastoart #fediart

There is finally a frog in the new frog-pond! I hope they get along with the tiny newt in there. I lured this buddy to the pond by playing the appropriate local happy frog calling sounds on my phone. Did not think that would work, but it clearly did. #frogs #nature #garden
