@stib@aus.social I have an arcade machine that runs a PC inside. For some reason, I absolutely could not install windows 10 on it years ago. Any time I would try, it would crash and bluescreen constantly. It'd even crash during the install. Then Valve realsed Steam Proton and I decided to give Ubuntu a try on it. Worked flawlessly. It's still running ubuntu to this day. I played VF5 on it just this evening. If you want to really blow his mind, get him a steam deck and show him the sleep...

I'm having an absolutely miserable day, but #AlexJones rage posting about how his show has been bought by "pro-pedophile/child torture" sickos who made "murder shows for adult swim" along with this picture is making me laugh so hard I'm crying. Goddamn I love #TimHeidecker so much lmaoooo.

Been planning and slowly adding on for a year+ now, but i finally have enough #solar #battery capacity to run everything in my #tinyhouse for 24 hours without problem. 18kwh capacity, enough for my window unit ac at max for 24 hours, my minfridge, my tv, my #steamdeck docked, all my lights, and a #raspberrypi 4 #desktop. Got 24 hour redundancy backup in case of a cloudy day. And thats if i run everything constantly at max #power without stop. I can stretch it further if needed.

Ever seen an #anole #lizard #sleep before? I have a bucket outside with some water in it that anoles apparently feel very safe in. I see them dipping their tails in the water constantly. Heres on taking a nap in the cool water:

My daily budget for my #TinyHome is 15000 Wh per day, I have enough #Solar panels to charge up that amount in my #Batteries in 1 day's peak #sun hour. That's enough to run my tiny #AC and #refrigerator for 24 hours (plus a full day's backup of an extra 15000), with change left over for a few appliance. While normal desktop usage can only run for a few hours with the left over charge, I've found that a #RaspberryPi 4b can run for like 40 hours on 1 day's ba...

So... those #AMD BC-250 singleboard #APUs have apparently 16 gb of DDR6 memory on them. These boards go for like $100-$150 on ebay, but ram is worth 10 times that. One of my friends in an #EE and we've gotten the idea to try and scrape one of these for ram and create our own DDR6 ram stick from scratch. If we can do this, these things become a gold mine. I wonder how impossible this will be lol. #tech #homebrew #engineering #electricalengineering

#Houston #Comets are back, that fucking rules! They were the first #dynasty of the #WNBA, winning the first *FOUR* championships back to back to back to back. They still hold the record for most WNBA championships by team despite having not existed since 2008. It's been a freaking joke that the Comets weren't around anymore. Their original teams were legendary with Sherryl Swoopes and Kim Perot. I'm legit stoked. Fuck yeah! #Basketball

#modeling and #rendering the Fire LEO-04 "Rynex" from #Thunder #Force on a #sega #dreamcast. This is mainly a test of the #vertex count and submission. The original model was something I found in public domain on the internet, but I had to heavily, heavily edit it to get it to an acceptable vertex count for the DC. #Materials export is busted, hence no colors. #Graphics #Programming #homebrew #gamedev

To anyone cheering this on because they're not trans, you're a moron. They're not going to stop at trans people. They'll keep going, and when there is nobody left, they'll find some different way to other people. it will literally never end. It will come for you. #TransRights are #HumanRights. W...

Fun fact: 45% of adults in the #USA have never drank #alcohol and 57% did not last year. Being a #teetotaler is actually MORE common than being even a social drinker. I truly hate alcohol, so this pleases me.
