Mixing the kid's expired "strawberry cheesecake milk" into my plain breakfast milk to get rid of it. I can't decide if it tastes broken or not, because I assume, it also sucks unexpired.

I simply love, how meticulously one can document and source facts on #Wikidata, like in this case the official name of #Gaugrehweiler in #Donnersbergkreis, which was called Untergrehweiler, as I found in a source of 1832 and another one of 1922. In the latter one, the name had already changed to the present one. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q642168

#3GoodThings for Saturday: - Bringing out the trash somehow turned to a quite long round of cutting branches to make snow removal a lot easier in a few months. Also, one can walk the stairs again without twisting to avoid being slapped by plant parts. - nice walk with my wife to deliver a present for a former school-mate of our kid and to do some shopping - huge progress on emails for this week Bonus: Watching the water rapidly run down the cleaned sink sustainably increased the fun of brushin...

#3GoodThings for Saturday: - one of two very wanted packages arrived, the other one was finally sent at least - accidentally did way too much coding for the browser extension #WikiTreeBEE (follow @WikiTreeExtensions@genealysis.social for updates) - was pushed out of my #diy comfort zone by my wife at 8:30 PM: we did a line of 1.5 meters of silicone to fill a gap between two pieces of wood, with me mainly pushing and her mainly aiming (a bit like in the Transformer movie - "you shoot, I dri...

Yesterday, I've put the dying freezer for sale on #Kleinanzeigen. I felt bad charging 100 EUR as initially planned and even 50 EUR I perceived bold. So I've put it in for 20 EUR. In the end, it needs repair and I only wanted to save the trip to the recycling center. Three hours later, I had one person wanting it, within the first 12 hours, I had a total of five people asking for it. The first one said, he'd pick it up this morning at 10, so I told the others, that they have to wait t...

Started out as another sleepy day without energy and a terrible frozen pizza for lunch. But then - did a small #DIY thing (treating a quite freshly drywall corner with sandpaper, which also turned out to require a bit of filling) - cleaned the bathroom (since I had to shower afterwards anyway) - did some coding for #WikiTreeBEE in the drying break (Belgian categories in #WikiTree from #Wikipedia/ #Wikidata) #3GoodThings #ThreeGoodThings

Belated #3GoodThings for Wednesday: - starting to get a bit of energy back, which allowed me to process a lot from my physical inbox (#GettingThingsDone) - after several rounds of @WikiTree_Stammtisch@genealogie.social, that were rather difficult for me, we had a good flow and good talks yesterday - I will definitely not tell you! #ThreeGoodThings

Belated #3GoodThings for Saturday: - There were only five broken pineapple pieces left for me to eat, which made me spend the better part of the night in front of the toilet. Could have been worse. Note to self: they say "consume before" instead of "best before" for a reason! - I won't tell you. - Still having to consume most of the stuff that was in the dying freezer, therefore less options and more determination about lunch. I like it! Today: fish fingers and half a bo...

belated #3GoodThings for yesterday - next iteration of potatoes in #airfryer was a lot better (bigger pieces) - quality time with my favorite person - working from home, as opposed to Monday being my usual office day #threeGoodThings

  - potato experiment in the #airfryer (thank you, to those who replied) has the potential to become something I could do regularly while working - managed to have #Gelbi bathed - postponing shower to the next day reduced the stress about remaining chores a tiny bit compared to a usual Sunday (sigh) #3GoodThings #ThreeGoodThings

There is one I won't tell you about, but I've still found #3GoodThings for yesterday: - a bit more energy than on the previews Saturdays - managed to clean up the old #WikiTree profile of my great-grandfather Joseph #Zähringer https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Z%C3%A4hringer-31 - wrote an email to our local adult education center ( #Volkshochschule), asking them, if they are as democracy supporting as they claim and would post on #Mastodon (additionally to Meta platforms) #ThreeGoodThings

Today's (quite belated) #grandma recording mainly talked again about her aunt Sophie https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Steurenthaler-54, for whom grandma was working during her mandatory social year, when Sophie learned that her husband had died in #WorldWar2 in August 1944. It completely crushed her aunt: She cried for the whole winter. Grandma still got furious about her, when she told me about those days. Grandma got worried about getting married herself one day. She swore herself, that s...

  - after brushing teeth together and him bathing, there was a long cuddle with #Gelbi, where he sat on my knee and leaned on my hand while drying - did some coding to improve #WikiTreeBEE's handling of #Wikipedia redirects when searching locations at #Wikidata - managed to cut off some annoying branches from a plant near our outside stairs #WikiTree #3GoodThings #ThreeGoodThings #Birb #BirdsOfMastodon #QuakerParrot #MonkParakeet #Parrot

Today, the #grandma recordings were a real struggle, I'm tired and sweating, my neck itches from small hairs after having my hair cut some minutes ago. The first record was only three minutes and not particularly special. The second one revisited the story of Kunigunde #Schindler's revolver (see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Schindler-1413#Revolver for details). I stopped after the mandatory about 100 lines, because the second recording is almost an hour long. Let's hope...

I completed transcribing the almost 1 hour long #grandma recording today. One part contained her telling that she saw St. Petersburg (Russia), Finland, Sweden,, Norway, England, Scotland and France and that she is happy, with what she saw during her life (and with her life in general, despite all the hardships). It's always inspiring to be able to listen to that. I hope, I will be able to take a bit of that optimism with me, for when I'm older. #genealogy

I really really enjoyed the first two seasons of #XOKitty in the last days, but so far #XOKittySaison3 is really annoying with so many "villains" and difficult situations. It feels like the show lost something. It's still far from the train wreck of #SexEducation season 4, but still a bit annoying to watch at times.

Today's belated #grandma recording contained the first mention grandma's grandma's photo album. She said, it's still in family possession, but when I asked the relative, whose mother reportedly still had it, he told me, that there is no album that matches the description. What a pity, because it apparently contained the only photo of painter Frank #Buchser, the reported father of grandma's grandma. It would have been a tiny bit of proof rather than stories...

Belated #3GoodThings: - started a political discussion with a younger person that might turn interesting in the next days - found a source that kind of proves the origin of my 9th great-grandmother Maria Bank https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bank-311, which allowed me to create her father and also connect that one to her brother Gallus Bank, my 8h great-grandfather on another line - had an unexpected encounter with an old friend Bonus: Schnitzel with napkin dumplings at the company restaurant was...
