  Mitch Is Back. He is wheelchair bound, but, he is there. He is utilizing his rightful reasonable accommodations to get there, but, he is there. DEI for sure, but, he is there. I do wonder that in 90+ days, he did not learn how to use a motorized, self-propelling chair? Did he speak? I have yet to hear him speak. Or move more than his left hand.

  @gabrielesvelto@mas.to I like the second examples. The first, the bot version, still has the bot as the active verb user, still gives it personhood. Someone in here posted a little while back, who had worked out an acronym that indicated that the human had opted to use machine-generated language, instead of creating the whatever themselves. But I can't remember who, and I can't remember the acronym. You're absolutely right, we have to stop giving these systems agency.

  @cstross@wandering.shop Have you met 5 year-olds? This is the "I'll do it myself and if you won't let me, I'll sneak around and do it when/where you can't see me" age. I live with one. There are mysterious Christmas tree decorations on the wooden chandelier that is only partly over the dining table. It's not that low. She is not that tall. Since its fait accompli, we just said how nice it looks. 👵
