    What. A. Day. I get to eat next month! It was a great audience for our leatherwork. Sometimes folks like our work but it&#39;s out of their price range, which I totally understand. Today people loved our work and didn&#39;t blink an eye at paying for the materials and hours of labour. We&#39;re so grateful! #fair #craftsmanship #LeatherCraft #gratitude

    Went to the season&#39;s first country fair. There were many animals, which we love, but no poultry because of the avian flu (the danger of spreading it). Mentions of milking and beef with the cattle but nothing about the hides. As unpleasant as it may be I think people should know where their leather comes from. Also nothing about bees. And how could all the 4H booths be devoid of felting and leathercraft? #country #fair #4H #AnimalHusbandry

    I saw Suzie Fletcher from The Repair Shop using homemade leather filler and set out to learn more information. Information is scarce but I gather it&amp;#39;s a mix of leather dust mixed with PVA glue used in book binding. I cleaned my mini hand vac, vacuumed up leather dust from my sanding station and then transferred the contents of the vacuum to a jar. I then mixed up a batch in a small jar and mended a hole in my ottoman to try it out. It&amp;#39;s currently drying. #LeatherCraft #maker
