Pentel Arts Multi 8 Pencil: @hiro had this pencil in his last Hiro.report. Had to order it right away and get penciling. It’s a fun pencil, and switching leads is easy. Rotate the clip to the color you want—the cutout in the clip shows which one is selected. Press the top button, and the lead drops down. Adjust it to the length you want, then start writing. To switch colors, hold the pencil upside down, let the lead fall back […] #journaling #ColourPencil #pencil https://cliff538.com/2026...

Crucial Track for April 13, 2026: "Runnin' with the Devil" by Van Halen I couldn’t think of a better way to start than with the song that got my brand-new Van Halen album destroyed. I had worked hard to buy two records: this one, and AC/DC’s Back in Black. They were treasures to me. One day, while I was out, my parents decided to give the Van Halen album a listen. The songs they heard rattled them, because when I got home, both albums were gone… View entry: https://ww...

RE: https://social.lol/@flohgro/116363491253047842 Love the app @FlohGro! Started my one-day streak today. I love having an easy way to see past pics from that day. What a great idea. It's a beautiful app and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it in the future. It's already on page two of my iPhone! Count me in as a supporter.

I had no idea about the details. You must watch Chris's video: https://notes.art/one-year-later/ Spend some time each day doing something creative. Truly. You won't regret it. “For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with the extension of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings, they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time.” ~ Henry Beston from his book The Outermost House #bookquote https://notes.cliff538.com/2026/04/07/for-the-animal-shall-not.html

RE: https://mas.to/@Canadian_Eh/116342788590262178 Chesterfield was new to me. My grandmother called it a Davenport. I call it a couch. Speaking of names. I grew up with Coke/Pepsi/etc., and it was called pop. Soda was always meant to be soda water. The first time I heard someone say, "Do you want a soda?” and handed me a Dr. Pepper, I was taken aback. All these regional things. (yes, I'm trying to keep my mind off the news…)

Flashback to 2009: Browsing the internet archives, I stumbled upon my blog from 2009. The original cliff538 was built from scratch as an exam for an HTML/CSS class that I was taking. Really brought back some good memories. Sadly, there is no record of my very first blog, where I documented, step by step, how to build a stitch-and-glue kayak. Everything has been lost to time. Sub-Surface (58/365) Not super happy with this shot. The concept in my head was much better than the picture I got. I took about 12 shots trying to get the right angle and exposure. I needed my main camera to shoot two exposures, one for above ground and one for below, and combine them. As you can see, the upper portion is over-exposed. There are limits with an iPhone and walking a dog! https://365pixels.xyz/2026/02/27/subsurface.html #365in2026 #the100pics #dailyphoto #photoblog #photograp...
