I really should get back into learning Go. At some point I studied some basics of Python, but that just didn't stick for numerous reasons (as great as the language is), but something about Go sparked my interest. First of all it's relatively easy to pick up (not unlike Python) with a very clean syntax. Secondly, the distribution is magnificent: you don't need dependencies and it's all in just one executable file. #golang #coding #programming #koodaus #koodaa...

Thank you Lord of the Lost! This was the fifth time I saw them perform live and hopefully will see them many more times in the future. LOTL has been my favorite band for so long and it remains so. Even bought a few more band t-shirts as merch (already had four shirts, but you can never have enough, am I right?). I'd had hoped to hear Raining Stars, but alas, that song was not played. Understandable, since they have so many good songs. #LOTL #LordoftheLost #music #musiikki

I just opened up a Proton Drive, but for some reason after doing the starting chores, I didn't get the bumped up storage that was advertised everywhere. It's still 2GB instead of 5GB. Anyone else had similar problems? I did send them a support ticket. I did, however, get the upgrade from 500MB to 1GB in Proton Mail. #Proton #ProtonDrive #ProtonMail

Can someone explain to me why is this "Sydney Sweeney" even relevant? Like I year ago I hadn't even heard her name and now her name pops up pretty much everywhere for unknown reasons. What gives?

Hyvä kun katson aina tietyn määrän profiileja mitä seurata @rolle 'n mastodonlistalta ja alkanut aina jättämään itselle jonkinlaisen "kirjanmerkin" että mihin kohtaan viimeksi jäin niin eiköhän kohta tätä menoa Mastodonin serverit huuda hoosiannaa et kuka täällä dossailee, mutta Juho se vain massafollailee 😸 Eipähän ainakaan ihan heti kohta lopu luettava feedistä 😄

The more I see clips from Predator: Badlands, the more I regret not going to the movie theater to see it. But I'm glad I went to see Tron: Ares despite it not selling well. I loved that movie! Do you have a movie that you've later regretted not having seen in the theater? #PredatorBadlands #TronAres #cinema #movies #elokuvat

I tried out the "Followed hashtags" feature on Mastodon, but it didn't stick. The problem is that there's no "on/off" switch and if you just want to see the posts from the people you follow and not the followed hashtags, I don't think that's possible that way. They just all get mushed together in one singular feed. I did read about making a list and adding everyone to that list, but that seems like a tedious task since there...

God I wish they'd some day fix the issue with the Steam Deck / SteamOS notification bell. I love my SD OLED, but that bug is driving me nuts! Basically there is no way to disable the "friend is online" notifications that trigger the notification bell icon at the top of the screen. You can only change the toast and sound options. Toasts are NOT the same thing; they only affect the stuff that pops up on the screen during gameplay. #SteamDeck #SteamOS #gaming #consoles #...

@sysedit It absolutely is true. I don't have any bell notifications on my desktop, but that icon always comes up whenever someone comes online or start to play some game. All of the notification toggles are turned OFF except I do want toasts/notifications for private messages/chat.

@sysedit There are at least 3 posts about this on the Steam forums. It is a bug that's existed for years.

I really don't get the trend where people make a fuss about phone calls. Like I've seen a bunch of memes with something like "my face, when someone calls instead of texting me". Personally, I absolutely *hate* typing longer stuff on a glass screen (on a smartphone). If it's more than a few words, it's going to either be a phone call or the discussion will just end, unless I get on a keyboard... And even then, it it goes on for too long, it&am...

Completely random idea that I got all of a sudden: I want a label writer... so I ordered one! Dymo LetraTag LT-100H ☺️ with an additional plastic sticker roll since the device only comes with one paper sticker roll. Not sure how common it is for people to have those at home (not at work) 😁 I did also have a look at some similarly cheap Brother P-touch model, but it eating up 6xAAA instead of 4xAA was the dealbreaker for me, so Dymo it is! #Dymo
