@NickGates it has been 30⁰c in May and as humid as a swamp 28⁰c in August is like, turn of the millennium temperatures.

As promised the results of my latest sewing project. A cotton shirt dress suitable for all year wear for the engineer who wants everyone to know where they work even when not aboard the enterprise. #sewing

Abs, sore! This better be worth it. Still, I'm feeling good with my morning exercise.

@NickGates my dyslexic brain read that as bullshit

I won't send a picture for fear of doxing myself but I'm in the office today and, because nobody wants to be in on a Friday I've managed to get a desk with a view overlooking the train station. It's so nice seeing the trans going in and out of the city. And beyond, a sea of green pierced occasionally by the points of church steeples.

I just went to buy paint for the walls. A pale yellow, not too far from the standard fashionable colour. I can see tester paints of the colour I want but literally not one full can. Basically everything is a shade of white, gray or magnolia with an occasional black and sage green. Like what happened to colour!

Attention Hood! We have had a massive uptick in the amount of bots trying to gain entry recently. The Hood's security is tight enough to catch them but other servers might not be as vigilant. With this in mind please remember to keep yourself safe online by not clicking suspicious links or giving away information etc. In addition, if someone is infuriating you online before responding, think, is this an AI*? If it might be ignore, block or report as appropriate. *Abominable intellige...

@NickGates seriously, this platform is full of privacy focused tech geeks. Which isn't a bad thing but people do often forget what it's like for a non tech person when dealing with things like Linux. Personally I am more tech literate than most but still don't use Linux because I don't have time to play around with things that don't just work or require refering to documentation. I recommend this watching video to see if Linux is right for you. https://...

Well today I caught up with the pod, which wrapped all of trek, and we launched a crewed mission to the moon. Feels auspicious.

First time around it was the golden age of TV and I watched on Netflix before viewing the pod. 10 years later we're going around again and I'm onto physical media again #startrek #GreatestGen

I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-Beams glitter in the dark Near the Tannhäuser Gates. All those... moments... will be lost in time, Like tears... in... rain. Time... to dye...

Happy First Contact Day! I hope you all left out a copy of Plato's republic for the Vulcans last night and in exchange they left you a report evaluating your readiness for space exploration.

Update on spending first contact day with swimgf. She not only enjoyed the salmon lunch but also liked star trek first contact. She even agreed to go with me to Bozeman Montana in 2063 to meet the Vulcans. Overall it went great. Next step, the pod. #startrek #firstcontactday
