@sundogplanets@mastodon.social thankfully, orbital data centres are both physically and economically stupid, they really wont happen in anything like the scale or time frames touted, they entirely ignore the cooling and orbital mechanics, a 1GW orbital satellite requires 1GW of cooling. nuts idea is never going to work

He has a principle, a principle which, if it were to prevail, would be fatal to any civilized order in the world. It is a principle which permits a state in the selfish pursuit of power to disregard its treaties and its solemn pledges, which sanctions the use of force or threat of force against the sovereignty and independence of other states. Such a principle, stripped of all disguise, is surely the mere primitive doctrine that might is right

@jennycohn.bsky.social the extremist wing of the Tory party tried this, they even tried to promote "National Conservativsim" until a few people pointed out that it is a mouthful. It is very easily shortened to "Nat C"

I did #boat things today! cleaned up, repaired and painted my cockpit floor woodwork. They basically look like two shipping pallets cut down and painted black, it gives about 10cm of height above the cockpit floor. The idea being that if you get a big green one over the stern into the cockpit that more of it will be under the boards draining away.

America, if you let this go much further, you have no future. The last time to act to remove this dangerous monster is now.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002tprr Real people are eclipsed by the rhetoric and propaganda around refugees. I listened to this brave young lady Rozhan, how she held the baby boy above the water to keep him alive.

I would not be shocked to learn that #Israel has some significant #epstein dirt on Trump. "Help is do x or something leaks" would explain the abrupt departure from negotiations and lack of plan
