I have a question about traveling in privacy with an electric car. If I'm using a car with a gasoline engine and I want to travel without being surveilled, I pay cash for fuel (among many other measures). It occurs to me that I can't charge my electric car in public without a credit card. This means that the government could theoretically track me, or even stop me from recharging completely (by invalidating the credit card). Have others thought about solutions to this? #ElectricCar

TIL that bumblebees, which I had thought were harmless, are in fact MOSTLY harmless. Apparently there was a nest in a pile of composted leaves, and disturbing it was just the right amount of provocation. #Bumblebees #Gardening

Republicans wanted to destroy the Voting Rights Act. Did they stop just because it seemed impossible? No. And they succeeded. They wanted to get rid of reproductive rights for women. Impossible. They succeeded. They want the President to have a private army, they've succeeded. So don't tell me how Trump will never see the inside of a jail cell, because I feel like demanding the impossible.

Here's a 2020 article from the New England Journal of Medicine, for those who want carefully vetted info on a previous outbreak of #hantavirus. The high points for me: * There's person to person transmission. * Incubation periods ranged from 9 to 40 days. * Big social gatherings became super-spreader events. * Contact tracing and quarantine works. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2009040 1/3

It's not enough to prosecute Trump and his cronies for accepting bribes. All the billionaires and corporate execs who paid those bribes need to be prosecuted as well. And we need to say it loudly right now: there will be future prosecutions for bribery when the fascists are out.

“Historians have a word for Germans who joined the Nazi party, not because they hated Jews, but out of a hope for restored patriotism, or a sense of economic anxiety, or a hope to preserve their religious values, or dislike of their opponents, or raw political opportunism, or convenience, or ignorance, or greed. "That word is 'Nazi.' Nobody cares about their motives anymore." ― A.R.
