Jesus FUCKING Christ, Broadcom makes it unnecessarily difficult to download VMware Player. I shouldn't have to hand over my goddamn street address just to download a FREE program. Now I have to resort to shady third-party downloaders and pray I don't get a virus.

A lot of higher end* laptops were so chunky and power hungry (with a battery life of a fart or requiring two whole power adapters) that it makes me wonder why the manufacturers just didn’t make a luggable, which then makes me wonder why luggables are extremely rare. I’m not expecting them to be everywhere but I can see them having their niches (like for indie game demos at conventions or ye ol lan parties)

Thinking about a hypothetical person who constantly backs the losing player in format wars and bought into both Betamax and HD-DVD.

Is there a way to link an existing bluesky account with an existing fedisphere account? I’d like to tie my accounts together and not end up making new bridge accounts?
