  He staged all of his assassination attempts. Every single one. Dude wants to seem invincible to his base and rally them to think leftists are violent. That way he can pass laws that attack ideologies, like being anti fascist, or a socialist, or generally anything left leaning.

  The fact that they are quoting a director whos biggest claim to fame was 30 years ago is very telling of his present state of mind. His best ideas are stolen, he hates copyright because he lacks any talent. He cant direct, but wants to with limited effort. Ive worked with directors like this before, they use the word "homage" for every shot they take, they let the AD do all the actual directing work, and they sit behind the monitor looking at their cellphone during a take, and bitch...
