A beautiful #Equinox to all who celebrate ☀️🌟 The days are getting shorter from now on, the nights longer and colder. I'm looking forward to the cooler season after the heatwaves in Europe but we shouldn't forget to demand climate action just because that part of the year is over for now. Be in nature if you can, enjoy cosy mugs of hot beverages of your choice, and the most fruitful months of produce of the year if you are in the Northern hemisphere 🍇 🍎 🥔 🫜 🧅 🍄‍🟫 🍅 🎃 ☕️

#WordWeavers July 7: What writing or publishing resource do you think everyone should know about? I'm one of those people who write in a text editor. I'm using UltraEdit without AI bullshit. I create eBooks using LibreOffice and Calibre. It's not a particularly mind-blowing process but it works well for me and it is free except for the UltraEdit license if you don't pay for the open source software. I also like Pixabay.com for free photos to use for cover images. 🙂

I wrote to our EU representatives outlining why I am angry that chat control is getting yet another attempt to make it into legislation when it has already been rejected several times. Age verification is on the menu too 🤮 If you live in the EU, write to your MEP before 29 June and tell them why Chat Control (mass scanning of personal messages) is unsuited to protect anyone online, let alone minors: https://fightchatcontrol.eu/ #EUpol #ChatControl #DataPrivacy #AgeVerification

@TarkabarkaHolgy@ohai.social Yeah, this was already a problem before #AI, even with the pretty well-documented Graeco-Roman mythology. And AI is supercharging this. 😠

Happy horny #Satyrday, everyone 😈 I'm not entirely certain about the original artist. I think it was Bavarii on Tumblr who is now on BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/bavarii.bsky.social EDIT: My lovely mutual @otterguy confirmed the artist is Bavarii 💕

This #FannyFriday we have a winged cock surrounded by three fannies with visible slits and a bit of stubble for a joint #PhallusThursday. Did the little phallus choose the one on top or is he eager to kiss all three of them? #GreekRomanArt @phistorians

One thing that #genAI has thoroughly soured for me is searching references for my artists to draw illustrations from and image search in general. Even with DuckDuckGo's "hide AI images", I get like 75% slop. It used to be fun to look through the search results, even if there were many results that weren't what I was looking for. But looking at slop is not fun. It's just tedious. It reminds me that I have to pay extra hard attention not to share AI slop b...

For #TerryPratchettDay I want to share one of my favourite quotes. There are many, but this one just resonates with me as a writer. Sir Terry Pratchett's work is about how important stories are to humans and as a storyteller who grew up loving his books, unsurprisingly I feel the same way. He was the first celebrity where I was truly gutted when he died. Much love to everyone who was touched by his stories. 💖 #GNUTerryPratchett #TerryPratchett #Hogfather

On April 30, night of Saint Walburga (Walpurgisnacht), witches fly to Blocksberg mountain in Germany to catch up on their deeds throughout the year and dance around al fire. When I was there, the devil was also present, judging harshly the witches who didn't work enough evil magic. #MythologyMonday #Walpurgisnacht #witches

My dad is a journalist. He wrote about a pilot project with self-driving busses recently. And something that none of the men I have talked to seem to realise is that it is fucking scary to think that you are in a bus alone at night without a driver and then someone starts harassing you. My male friend said "what is the bus driver gonna do?" but honestly, just the presence of another person is often enough. And a bus driver can call the police or stop the bus if need be, there are opti...

#EroticMusings 47: How much time do you spend making erotica in a week? Do you have a regular schedule? I'm not a hard schedule kind of person but I try to write on average something like 200 words per day at least. Didn't work out lately due to several reasons, including a nasty cold, but I want to get back into that stride.

Happy #InternationalAsexualityDay to all who celebrate. 🖤 🤍 💜 I recently learnt that I have quite a few ace readers and I know a few ace erotica writers as well. Ace representation is pretty bad so I tried writing something sweet a few years ago. So many videos on #YouTube are fucking unwatchable these days because words advertisers don't like are either replaced with the corporate newspeak Stephanie is talking about or cut out in the same way they would be beeped out in television, just instead of the beep the word is cut entirely. Happy #Equinox to all who celebrate! ☀️ One quarter of the year is already gone, time really flies. But here in the Northern hemisphere, Spring is finally here 🌱 The days are getting longer and it is time for Spring cleaning, planting seeds, and enjoy the first seasonal produce. It's a good opportunity to review your goals for the year to plant seeds for success! My family and I are gifting each other "recyklapp", things we own and we like, but don't really use....

Very excited to have received a request via my commission form that wasn't spam 🥳 Interestingly, it's not for fiction but for a kink-related review. Just wanted to use this opportunity to say that I totally write non-fiction too and you can commission me for researched articles as well. My pick for #MythologyMonday's theme of favourite mythology-themed reads would be the comic #Punderworld by my friend @linda_sejic, a light-hearted but emotional retelling of Persephone's abduction by Hades (here a misadventure rather than planned abduction). Linda loves drawing plants, so she does right by Persephone's and Demeter's vegetation powers 😉 You can read it on Tapas if you're curious: https://tapas.io/series/Punderworld/info #NationalReadingM...
