Not precisely what I was going for, but also a wrong and self-soothing argument. What I meant was that people who whine and make everything about politics and the moral purity of people who aren’t doing political work are generally considered insufferable assholes. And a fair number of people will do things just to because rhe person who said they shouldn’t is an asshole.
