He had a press conference, very recently, "over soon, but if Iran does anything more, destruction of everything". including reference to shipping in Straits. Iran knows he's bluffing, and has run out of missiles, and will not put the navy within their drone range, but at any rate, Trump's Israel masters won't let him off the hook.

The cost differential between ballistics and interceptors (10x or more) would be one factor but doubt the US/Israel is close to running out yet.
