@bhtooefr @TechConnectify Nissan's e-Power drives exactly like a BEV, which makes it very comfortable and gives you stronger brake regeneration. It is less efficient at high speeds than Toyota's system, but I personally prefer driving e-Power, it feels smoother. It's essentially a BEV with an onboard generator, after all. The video puts heavy emphasis on the efficiency shortcomings, but in reality e-Power has nothing to be ashamed of. I find that part quite misleading.

@benoit @TechConnectify looks like you’re also in Japan where the high speeds are less important but also, the efficiency shortcomings are a big problem that’s why the Chinese systems, Honda’s system, and Mitsubishi’s system add a clutch to get a parallel mode. you get all of the benefits of e-Power, with the high-speed drawbacks reduced. (and, Geely and Mitsubishi’s systems are even in Nissan’s corporate orbit, with the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance and Renault/Geely’s powertrain joint ventures.)
