@mdione@en.osm.town @lionelb@expressional.social @Tarnport@mastodon.green I thought all romance languages worked in a similar way.
In Catalan:
-Home (man)
-Home-n-et (little man) also Home-n-iqueu (very small man)
-Home-n-ot (big/uncute man)
-Home-n-às (great man)
This -n- is to separate the vowels, because:
-Llibre (book)
-Llibr-et (small book) als libr-et-et (tiny book)
-Llibr-ot (big/uncute book)
-Llibr-às (great book)

@cibersheep@mastodont.cat @mdione@en.osm.town @lionelb@expressional.social @Tarnport@mastodon.green Libro, librito, etc. Also libritito; very small book. And librotote; too big to carry. Casa; house Casota, casona; big house. Casita; little house, and, oh, the connotations! Casilla; small "house", more like a stall or a small box. Casera; pertinent to a house.
