I was very clearly not writing to the GOP voters, so now your statement makes even less sense.

No. you were telling people who care about trans rights to shut up and vote for a candidate who doesn’t, and to not be critical of that candidate because the GOP are worse… and that the GOP will never vote for a pro-trans democrat. which is true, but only because they would never vote for a democrat, pro trans or otherwise. Saying that we don’t get to be critical of a particular individual who shits on human rights (trans rights are human rights, after all) is uncool. We can and should hold our candidates to higher standards, and sacrificing those standards is exactly what lost Harris 2024 election- across a number of issues, including the economy and palestine.
