I’m one of those gadget lovers who get a lot of motivation from buying themselves the best gear for the job as a reward. I know it’s childish and it definitely originates in not being able to afford the stuff other kids could when I was young and lusted after a ZX Spectrum, or Commodore 64. Still. The M5 Ultra was on my list but it’s just too bloody expensive.. but waiting for the M7 Ultra in 2028 (perhaps) is a little depressing. It’s the iMac Pro all over again. Wait? Or Jump?
