@truls46 Sorry, but these aren't mass protests, they're peanuts! Not even one-tenth of one percent of the US population is taking to the streets against Trump! When the first FPÖ government was sworn in in little Austria in 2000, over 300,000 people gathered at Heldenplatz—in a city with a population of one million at the time! Just to put it into perspective.

  • @unixviking Something to keep in mind is that a substantial percentage of Americans can't afford a $500 emergency. The loss of a job is generally catastrophic here. There are very few social safety nets, and it is worth remembering that access to healthcare here is tied directly to employment. Protesting at all puts all this at risk.
